This was the former home of Daphne du Maurier who loved Cornwall and spent time there whenever she could. Here she wrote her first novel "The Loving Spirit". Throughout her lifetime she wrote several novels and volumes of short stories, five biographies and her own autobiography. With the love of the area held in her heart and the inspiration it provided, Cornwall was captured in many of her books.
