The village preserves the typical aspect of an Umbrian medieval village, gathering in an amphitheater structure. The first information on the existence of the village dates back to the beginning of the 13th century. In the first half of the seventeenth century , Rasiglia established itself for craft activities focusing on spinning wool thanks to the water power coming from the river Menotre, hence this is known as the village of the springs.
